A cikk a fenntarthatóság és az innováció összefüggéseit vizsgálja a turisztikai szektorban, kihangsúlyozva az új stratégiák és megközelítések elengedhetetlen szükségességét a kihívásokkal teli globális környezetben. A kutatás többlépcsős módszertant alkalmaz, a Scopus adatbázis és a VOSviewer segítségével öt kulcsfontosságú témakört azonosított: környezeti fenntarthatóság, gazdasági fejlődés, technológiai előrelépések, oktatás, valamint irányítás és stratégiai menedzsment. Az elemzés rávilágít a turizmusban rejlő fenntarthatósági lehetőségekre és az innovációs potenciál kiaknázásának fontosságára. A fenntartható turizmus megvalósítása kulcsfontosságú a turisztikai desztinációk hosszú távú versenyképességének és fenntarthatóságának biztosítása érdekében. Az eredmények alapján a tanulmány a megalkotott szisztematikus keretrendszer használatát javasolja, amely segíti a turisztikai ágazat szereplőit a fenntarthatósággal összefüggő innovációk kialakításában.
