Our study highlight in which functional fields works better the intellectual capital which methods help us to compare and make difference between these fields. Understanding and developing the channels through which human capital components influence market outcomes is therefore crucial. In our study, we highlight which functional areas of intellectual capital are most detectable and which methods are most appropriate for measuring these factors.

Supporting purchasing decisions with time series analysis – the case of a plastics company

Our empirical paper uses time series analysis with the FM-OLS estimator to analyse the significant determinants of purchasing prices of a Hungary-based plastics company. Beyond using crude oil prices, we also involve industry-specific indices in the analyses. We use bivariate vector error correction models to support their long-term usefulness in managerial inference.
